GO ELECTRIC - uRBAN COMMUTING

Anyone who frequently travels in the city knows: the car is not a good option. Fortunately, there are now plenty of alternatives – and electric ones at that. When the distance is too far to walk and public transportation is not flexible enough, compact electric vehicles can help. For Legends presents three smart means of transportation for the city center.

The Proven

It’s hard to imagine the cityscape without e-bikes. With the ST 5, the Swiss company Stromer offers the ultimate – both in terms of technology and design. Accordingly, the electric bike comes with a hefty price tag of around CHF 10,000. With a range of up to 180 km, the ST 5 is perfectly suited for longer distances and is well worth the money. The e-bike, which won the Red Dot Design Award, can be connected to the smartphone app via 3G technology. You conveniently lock the Stromer via Bluetooth, remove the battery at the touch of a button and regulate the motor settings. This is how smart mobility works!

The Fast

Those who want even more power will find it in the e-scooters. The silver Vespa Elettrica is a successful reinterpretation of the classic Italian scooter. That’s why it’s the first choice for anyone who wants to get around the city center quickly and elegantly. With a range of up to 100 km and a top speed of 70 km/h, the electric motorcycle is also suitable for trips into the agglomeration. An innovative electric tricycle comes from the electromobility pioneer Micro from Switzerland. The Microletta has a 3,000-watt electric motor with a range of 100 km and a top speed of 80 km/h.

The All-Rounder

The most exciting innovation for urban mobility comes from Micro. The Swiss company played a key role in the hype surrounding scooters in 2000. Now it is venturing into new territory with the compact Microlino electric car. The mini runabout can be charged at a normal household socket and travels 125 or 200 km, depending on the battery. It offers space for two people. According to the manufacturer, it even has enough storage space for three crates of beer. What more could you want? The only catch is that the mini car can only be pre-ordered. Production is expected to start in fall 2021

Protecting the Skin from the Wind

With these fast city runabouts, the riding pleasure also depends heavily on the right clothing. Functional jackets can also be stylish. That’s why we at For Legends recommend the Jacky bomber jacket from Caduff. It is part of the brand’s Urban Mobility line. These jackets are made from certified fabrics and protect against wind at a riding speed of up to 45 km/h. So the next city tour is even more fun!

Modern Dolce Vita - Andiamo!

There are now many great alternatives to the car for staying mobile, especially in the city, where the car loses its comfort bonus. That’s why it’s worthwhile for city dwellers to invest in a vehicle that fits perfectly into the urban landscape. Which one is the right choice remains a matter of taste. Those who want to keep fit on the side will find the perfect companion in an e-bike. The Vespa Elettrica is more relaxed – and, above all, faster. The Microlino, on the other hand, is unbeatable if you’re traveling as a couple or with more luggage than just a briefcase. For Legends’ favorite? Modern dolce vita on the Italian e-scooter! Andiamo!
